I am long overdue to catch up here with blog posts since we arrived in Fiji and it will have to wait a bit longer till I get more time with good connections. Right now we are over in what is known as the Lau Group of islands in the SE corner of Fijian waters and have been enjoying anchorages in VanuaBelavu island such as “The Bay of Islands” up in the north and for the last few days, including Canada Day, just off the village of Lomolomo and the uninhabited little island of Yanu Yanu. 17 17.731S 17 58.918W if you’d like to see exactly where that is on Google or Bing maps or sat photos.
We are about to weight anchor in a few minutes and head out the SE pass through the surrounding coral reefs and head south to see more of the Lau Group islands. Depending on where Mother Nature decides to blow, we’ll either head to Vulaga (pronounced Falanga) or else Totoya or Matuko which are more to the west of Vulaga. We won’t likely have any cellular connections till we get past those so no more FB or other web presence for the next week or too but we’ll try to keep posting via our sat phone connections along the way.
For now, I’ll let the photos do the taking with some shots of where the good ship Learnativity has been over the past few weeks. Sorry, no time to add captions right now so just enjoy them for what they are as we do.
