As some of you have recently noted in your Emails and messages, Ruby and I both have had a change of appearance and some weight loss somewhere between Florida and Costa Rica. How observant of you!
We were both shaved and shorn just before we left our unbelievably extended good times with our second family in Flordida; John, Michelle, Kate, Jaci, Genna, and Jack, plus grandparents on both sides and Coco (Ruby’s buddy) and Elaine (outgoing nanny) and Kelly (incoming nanny). Whew! I’ll be catching up as soon as I can with more details and photos from all our time with all of them. Suffice it to say that leaving what had literally become our home and family for almost 2 months was a bittersweet event.
So with all these changes as we headed back to El Salvador and our beloved good ship Learnativity, and after MANY months absence of scissors or razors, we figured that the upcoming change in locations and lattitudes required a matching change in attitudes and appearances so out with the sharp instruments and away with all the hair!
Here are some quick shots of the before, during and after results:
Hmmm, maybe I shouldn’t change ANY thing? Doesn’t seem to be affecting my magnetic attraction!
BTW, these are three of the SIX gorgeous women I got to live with in Florida! Eat your heart out!!
L-R: Michelle, Elaine, Kelly (baby Jack in stroller)
Remind me why I left?????????????????????????
And here is my buddy, baby Jack, who I got to be “night nanny” for. He doesn’t seem to mind either.
Face first, out with the razor
Face shaved clean, now for the hair on top.
All gone and Jack hardly seems to notice?
And here we are today (Jan 11th, 2009) Six weeks after leaving Florida, down in Costa Rica and the hair is starting to come back on both of us.
Ruby and I out for a dingy ride to explore the mangroves and beaches of Bahia Ballena, Costa Rica with our friends from Samadhi V.
Photo thanks to Kelly,
Dingy ride thanks to Phillip,
Fun in the sun and on the beaches thanks to Alexander and Nicholaus. (and Ruby at all times of course!)
