PHONES:
Not that I get many phone calls these days nor even have a working phone much of the time, but for those who might want to take note and for when I will be in the USA from Oct.21 through Dec. 1st, I have a new and long term phone number which is +1-501-4WayneH (492-9634 ) As location in the USA doesn't matter too much for phone numbers these days and certainly in my case, this area code (501) is located in Troubled Shores Arkansas. How could I not go with that?!! For those who might be interested, I've moved over to a Google Voice phone number but there is nothing special or fancy for you to do if you want to reach me by phone. Just dial the number as usual and there is also voice mail which is very nicely forwarded to me as a text message and as an Email. I've done this in part because I now have a single phone number which I shouldn't need to change in the future as it will ring any number of phones and numbers I may have as I bop and wander my way about the planet. In other news, not too much to report from here in very blustery Majuro. I'm spending all my time aboard as it has been very wet with lots of wind and rain storms the past few days. But makes for great weather to get inside boat jobs done and I've got WiFi on board so I'm spending many hours and many $$$ connected up and catching up with my online backlog. DOGS:
Ruby is VERY excited as her new friend Pearl, a gorgeous little Toy Poodle on sv Tender Spirit just arrived here a few hours ago. We initially met up in Port Denarau in Fiji and they got together on-board out in our dingy and helped them tie up to the mooring ball here amidst all the wind and rain and are letting them get some sleep after the passage up from Tarawa but there's a doggie date on for tomorrow I think! TURKEYS:
And from one turkey to another, Happy Canadian TThanksgiving to one and all!! It is tomorrow for me (Oct. 11th) on this side of the date line and Thanksgiving is easily my ALL TIME favorite holiday being about the only holiday that has retained its original purpose by eluding over commercialization. Thanksgiving is a time when almost everyone seems to be genuinely focused on family and friends, good food and time to reflect upon how very fortunate we are and how much we have to be thankful for.
